What 420doc is and what it is not
420doc is a digital platform that arranges and technically supports telemedical requests. The medical assessment is carried out exclusively by independent doctors licensed in Germany.
Secure platform
Your information is transmitted in encrypted form and forwarded in a structured way to the treating doctor.
Independent doctors
Diagnosis, treatment decisions and any prescription are made solely by the treating doctor.
Delivery via pharmacies
Advice, dispensing and delivery are handled exclusively by the pharmacy you choose, licensed in Germany.
Important
420doc itself does not make diagnoses, take treatment decisions, issue prescriptions or ship medicines.

From request to pharmacy

1. Choose a strain and complete the questionnaire
In the live stock you see available strains, pharmacies and prices. Then you answer questions about your symptoms, history, previous treatments, medication, pre-existing conditions and allergies. You can upload previous findings, but they are optional.

2. Identity and age check
We verify your identity and age with an ID document. Requests without a successful check are not forwarded to a doctor.

3. Medical assessment
A doctor licensed in Germany reviews your information independently, weighs benefits and risks and asks questions if needed. There is no entitlement to a prescription.

4. Prescription or rejection
If a prescription is medically justifiable, it is digitally signed. You always receive feedback. If your request is rejected, the prescription fee is refunded in full.

5. Pharmacy, delivery or pick-up
The prescription goes to the pharmacy you chose, licensed in Germany. It advises you, dispenses the medicine and ships it in neutral packaging or keeps it ready for pick-up.
Transparency
At every step you can see the status of your request in your dashboard. A prescription is only issued after a medical decision.
Requirements
Who can submit a request
- You are of legal age and can identify yourself with an ID document.
- There is a medical reason, usually a chronic condition for which previous treatments did not help enough or were not tolerated.
- You provide complete and honest information about symptoms, pre-existing conditions and medication.
- There are no reasons against a prescription, for example a history of psychosis, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
You do not need a family doctor, and previous findings are optional. You do not need prior experience with cannabis: first-time use is assessed with particular care.
Preparation
What to have ready
- A valid ID document for the identity check.
- A list of all medicines you currently take, including over-the-counter products.
- Information on previous treatments: what you tried, for how long and why it was not enough.
- If available: doctor's letters or findings as a photo or PDF.
- Your delivery address or the pharmacy where you want to pick up.
Timing
How long it takes

- Often about 1 to 3 hours. Questions or incomplete information can make it take longer; there is no fixed processing time.
- Delivery
- Usually 1 to 3 working days, depending on pharmacy and shipping method.
- Pick-up
- As soon as the chosen pharmacy has processed the prescription.
- Follow-up prescription
- Can be requested at any time in your dashboard, with a new medical assessment.
Personal contact
Video consultation and on-site appointments
A consultation is not mandatory for a prescription request. If you would like to speak to a doctor in person, you can additionally book a video consultation or an on-site appointment.
This makes sense if you have several pre-existing conditions, take many medicines, are unsure whether treatment is an option for you, or if the doctor has questions. Smaller questions can be clarified via your dashboard.
Prices & reimbursement
What does it cost?
The medical service is billed according to the German scale of medical fees (GOÄ). Currently the first request is free of charge (0 €), a follow-up prescription costs 7,50 € (offer valid until 31.12.2026).

Security and discretion
- Your health data is transmitted in encrypted form and processed in line with the GDPR.
- The pharmacy ships in neutral packaging; the sender is the pharmacy.
- Your bank statement shows a neutral description, not the word cannabis.
- Prescription, invoices, medication plan and digital cannabis ID are stored in your dashboard.
Legal status
Is this allowed?
Yes. As of 20 Oct 2026, doctors in Germany may prescribe medical cannabis after a telemedical assessment if this is justifiable in the individual case, and pharmacies may ship flowers. A planned amendment to the law has not been passed.

Frequently asked questions about the process
Often about 1 to 3 hours. Depending on workload, how complete your information is and any questions, it can take longer. There is no guaranteed processing time.
No. Every request is assessed by a doctor and can be rejected if medical, legal or safety reasons speak against it. In that case the prescription fee is refunded in full.
No, the request is made online. If you wish, you can additionally book a video consultation or an on-site appointment.
No. Previous findings are optional but help with the assessment. A family doctor is not required, but should be involved in the long term.
If the assessment is positive, the prescription is digitally signed and sent to the chosen pharmacy. You can also find it in your dashboard.
You request it in your dashboard and give feedback on effect and tolerability. The doctor reviews every follow-up prescription again.
